Background

Jonathan Miller is a Denver-based private equity investor and the founder and Managing Partner of Platt Park Capital, a lower-middle-market buyout firm he launched in 2024 (named for Denver's Platt Park neighborhood). Over more than a decade in the industry he has completed 40-plus transactions representing over $1.3 billion in cumulative enterprise value, concentrated in the healthcare, consumer, and business-services sectors. He holds a B.A. in History from Harvard College.

Miller spent the bulk of his investing career at Revelstoke Capital Partners, the Denver healthcare-focused private equity firm (now ~$5.6 billion AUM). He joined Revelstoke in 2013 as an Associate, coming directly from RBC Capital Markets' (Royal Bank of Canada) Global Investment Banking team, where as an Analyst he covered the telecommunications, cable, data-infrastructure, media and entertainment sectors. He began his career as an Energy Solutions Analyst at Consolidated Green Services, an energy-services firm in Bethesda, Maryland.

At Revelstoke, Miller was promoted to Senior Associate in September 2016 and ultimately rose to Vice President. He was involved in evaluating and executing a number of the firm's healthcare platform investments and served on multiple portfolio-company boards, including The Care Team (board member), and previously Carrus and Critical Nurse Staffing.

In 2024 Miller left Revelstoke to start Platt Park Capital, a "partnership-first" firm focused on partnering with entrepreneurs in the lower middle market and driving value through a data-driven, operationally-oriented approach. The firm targets control investments of roughly $10M–$50M in equity across healthcare services, multi-site consumer, and business-services businesses.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Stage/type: Control acquisitions (buyouts) of established lower-middle-market companies — not venture, angel, or seed financing.
  • Company size: Businesses with roughly $10M–$75M of revenue and $2M–$10M of EBITDA.
  • Check size: Approximately $10M–$50M of equity per transaction.
  • Sectors: Healthcare services (e.g., infusion, longevity/wellness, women's health, medical equipment, hearing, behavioral health, remote monitoring, revenue-cycle management); multi-site consumer (medspa, boutique fitness, tutoring, pet/auto/residential services); and business services (insurance, IT MSPs, BPO, energy, accounting, HR/staffing).
  • What makes him say yes: Founder/operator-led companies with recurring revenue, durable organic growth, regional market leadership, and a clear path to consolidation through add-on acquisitions.
  • Stated approach: Platt Park positions itself as "Partnership-First Capital," emphasizing partnering with entrepreneurs to "build industry-leading companies through data-driven decisions and operational enhancements." On the firm's 2025 Novellum deal, Miller said: *"We are proud to announce the formation of Novellum and look forward to supporting the Company's strategic growth trajectory as consumer preferences for comprehensive proactive medicine continue to strengthen."*
