Jorge Huitron

Jorge Huitron is a private-markets investment specialist who has spent his career advising institutions on and selecting managers across alternative asset classes. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Harvard University. Early in his career he was a Senior Consulting Associate at Cambridge Associates for roughly four years before moving into manager research at the institutional advisory firm bfinance.

At bfinance, Huitron spent about seven and a half years, rising from Senior Associate to Director in private-market research. There he worked on investments across listed equities, commodities and the full range of private-market strategies — from real estate to private equity — building a technical understanding of relative-value investing across both public and private markets. bfinance is a London-headquartered investment consultancy (with a Munich office, among others) that advises institutional investors on manager selection — which is why the stub data carries a bfinance email and the Munich office phone number.

In early 2015 he left bfinance to join Aon Hewitt as a Senior Consultant within the Manager Research team, where he covered the European private equity sector and advised public and corporate pension plans on their private equity investments.

In October 2019, Huitron was appointed Senior Product Specialist for private markets within HSBC Global Asset Management's alternatives team, based in London and reporting into the global head of alternative products, Steven Ward. His remit is to develop HSBC's private-markets offering and expand the platform to a larger institutional investor base across Europe and Asia; he is currently described as Head of Private Markets Investment Specialists at HSBC Asset Management.
