Josh Adamek

Josh Adamek is a Pittsburgh-based real estate investor who bought his first duplex at age 21, fresh out of school, and still owns that original property. He describes spending his early twenties acquiring properties while "goofing off for a while" before taking the business seriously, then investing part-time for roughly seven years before quitting his job (around 2010–2011) to go full-time. In public bios he dates his career as a real estate investor to 2001, a developer since 2010, and a private-equity manager since 2017, and reports having been principal in over 300 transactions. Property records associate him with entities including Synergy Capital LP, Synergy Capital Inc., and multiple AVID Holdings LLCs.

He is the principal of Synergy Capital, Inc., a real estate investment and development company that buys, wholesales, and renovates properties across the Pittsburgh region, and has expanded into commercial and ground-up townhouse development. Around 2014 the firm achieved SEC compliance to solicit accredited investors at the federal level for its deals. He also serves as President & CEO of AVID Management Group, LP, which builds portfolios of single-family homes in stable "B" neighborhoods and places residents into them through a Lease-Option-to-Homeownership program, positioning it as a socially-minded path to homeownership for Pittsburgh families.

Adamek is a longtime leader in the local investor community. He is a past President of ACRE of Pittsburgh (Alliance of Cash flow Real Estate Investors), a 30-plus-year REIA club with roughly 400–500 active members and vendors; he attended for about 12 years and served on its board for around five years before being elected president. He is a co-founder of Steel City Impact and a member of the Northern Allegheny Rotary. He is based in the Sewickley/Ingomar area of Greater Pittsburgh and was born in August 1981.
