Background

Juri Jenkner is President of Partners Group Holding AG, based in Zug. Partners Group’s team page lists him as a member of the Executive Team, the Global Investment Committee, and the Private Markets Relative Value Committee. He is Head of Business Development and Co-Head of the Clients Pillar, and previously served as Co-Head of the Investments Pillar and Head of the Private Infrastructure business department.

Jenkner has been with Partners Group since 2004 and has over 25 years of industry experience. Before his current role, he was Co-Head of the Private Credit business department and Head of the European Private Credit business unit. Prior to Partners Group, he worked at Privatbankiers Merck Finck & Co.

Partners Group announced on 7 December 2023 that Jenkner would become President from 1 January 2024. In that role, the firm said he would drive corporate and business development initiatives with the CEO and Executive Chairman while remaining on the Global Investment Committee and retaining oversight of private infrastructure, private real estate, and private debt at that time.

He holds a master’s degree in finance from the Lorange Institute of Business Zurich and is a certified European financial analyst.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Partners Group’s core investment approach is “transformational investing”: the firm says it uses thematic research to identify attractive companies and assets and transform them into market leaders.
  • Infrastructure focus: next-generation infrastructure with long-term secular growth, embedded downside mitigation, and value creation through platform building, hands-on operations, and sustainability measures.
  • Private equity focus: high-conviction sub-sectors across Technology, Health & Life, Goods & Products, and Services, supported by resilient long-term global trends and active governance with management teams.
  • Private credit focus: strong fundamental underwriting and active credit selection, including senior direct lending to sponsor-backed middle and upper-middle market companies and junior/direct lending across the capital structure.
  • Royalties focus: Jenkner said Partners Group has “high conviction in private markets royalties” because the asset class complements existing private markets offerings and is increasingly applicable to healthcare, energy transition, entertainment, sports, brands, and other sectors.
  • Special opportunities focus: in January 2026, Jenkner said macro uncertainty and economic transformation create an “untapped market opportunity” for flexible capital solutions across corporate assets, real assets, and liquidity-driven opportunities.
