Justin Schleifer

Justin Schleifer is a compliance and finance executive who invests personally as an angel at the seed stage. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration with a concentration in Business Law from Cornell University (2005–2009). Rather than the hospitality industry, he moved into regulatory compliance — beginning with non-profit fiscal-sponsorship compliance before shifting into securities compliance at Gordian Compliance Solutions. He holds an unusually deep set of FINRA licenses (Series 7, 24, 27, 55, 66, 79, 87 and others) and has served as a Financial Operations Principal for multiple broker-dealers.

Over his career he has held Chief Compliance Officer and senior compliance roles across a range of financial firms, including Cypress Point Capital Management, LLC (the source of his cypresspt.com email address, where he served as CCO from roughly 2013 to 2017), Growth Capital Services, Carta Securities, StratiFi, BrightPlan, Fort Point Capital Partners, and the crypto firm Makara. He is Co-Founder and CEO (his partner Jordan Jasser is President). He also serves on FINRA's Continuing Education Committee.
