Karim Chrobog

Christian Karim Chrobog is a Washington, D.C.–based award-winning documentary filmmaker, journalist, and entrepreneur who currently serves as a Partner at Workaround LLC. His career bridges international media, public policy, and early-stage venture work. He holds a degree in International Politics from Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service (with a Certificate in International Business Diplomacy), plus graduate business training — a Corporate Masters from ESADE in Spain and a master's in International Business associated with Georgetown's McDonough School of Business (and study tied to FGV in Brazil).

Chrobog built his public reputation as a filmmaker. His debut feature, *War Child*, profiled former South Sudanese child soldier turned international hip-hop artist Emmanuel Jal and won the Tribeca Film Festival Audience Choice Award; his other documentary work includes *Magic Bus* (girls in the slums of Mumbai) and *A Better Future* (disappearing West African fishing communities). He produced an investigative series on global food waste in partnership with the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and Yale University's e360 program, including the films *The Big Waste* and reporting such as "In South Korea, An Innovative Push to Cut Back on Food Waste" (2015). He was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Dubai Future Accelerators, the Dubai Future Foundation's program pairing startups with government entities, and a Partner at The Foxhall Group, where he oversaw the firm's GCC, Middle East, and Africa practice from bases in Dubai and Washington, D.C. He earlier worked in international public policy and government affairs at Time Warner Cable.
