Kleida Martiro

Kleida Martiro is a Managing Director at Glasswing Ventures, a Boston-based early-stage venture firm founded in 2016 that invests in founders using AI and frontier technology to reinvent the enterprise and security industries. She joined Glasswing as an Investment Associate and rose through the ranks over roughly four years — from Senior Associate to Principal and then, in May 2023, to Partner — before reaching her current Managing Director role. She brings deep expertise in data science, applied AI, and company building to her investing.

Before venture capital, Kleida was Head of Data Science at SocialFlow (later acquired by Piano), where she built and led the company's data science function from the ground up and developed machine-learning systems for content optimization. Earlier in her career she was an analyst at Digitas, where she worked on adopting new technology tools to improve performance. Her interests, by her own account, "naturally veered towards" artificial intelligence well before it became mainstream.

Kleida graduated cum laude from Mount Holyoke College with a BA (in Economics, Mathematics, and Spanish) and holds an MBA with honors from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She has a personal immigrant story that she cites frequently: she grew up in Albania during its transition to democracy following the fall of the communist regime in 1991, and at age 13 left home to pursue educational opportunities in the United States.

She has earned significant recognition as an emerging investor, including being named a 2024 Women in AI Rising Star by VentureBeat, appearing on Business Insider's list of the most important VCs in Boston, being named a Rising Star by The Venture Capital Journal, and being honored as a Boston Business Journal "40 Under 40" and a Boston Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Young Leader.
