Background
Krzysztof Dębowski is a Warsaw-based entrepreneur turned investor who has been active in the marketing and new-technology industry for more than 16 years. He is best known as a co-founder of SARE (an email/marketing automation company, where he served as president) and its surrounding group of martech businesses, including Inis, Beemail, Mr. Target, Linteri, Uxeria, Deep.bi, Nais, and Digitree Group. He is a co-founder, board member, and Chief Operating Officer of Senuto, an SEO/content-analytics platform, and has been associated with growth-marketing company Growbots.
Today he serves as a Partner and Co-Managing Partner at KnowledgeHub (kh.vc), which describes itself as one of the larger seed-stage VC funds in Poland, backing startups in the initial roll-out phase with products ready to enter the market. Alongside partners Grzegorz Chyliński and Krzysztof Pudlak and Investment Director Hanna Łabęda, he sources and supports early-stage technology companies, drawing on operator experience in digital marketing and sales. He has also co-run the [m]Spark initiative with GroupM to support martech projects and, more recently, has taken on a Venture Partner role at Stelo Ventures.
Educationally, Dębowski studied at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, completed studies at a communications/social-media school, and pursued postgraduate management and marketing studies at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He transitioned from founder to business angel before formalizing his investing through the KnowledgeHub fund, and is a recurring voice in Poland's startup and angel-investing community (podcasts, interviews, and investor events).
Investment Thesis & Focus
- Invests at pre-seed/seed, targeting companies at a precisely defined, market-ready moment — "a product ready to be introduced on the market."
- Sector conviction in MarTech/AdTech, extending to FinTech, MedTech, DeepTech, and Industry 4.0, leveraging his operator background in marketing and sales tech.
- Data-driven decision-making: he has said, in effect, that "if something isn't presented through the prism of data, it doesn't exist" — founders should come with evidence, not just narrative.
- Believes the weakest point of the Polish/CEE ecosystem is its shallowness ("Najsłabszym punktem jest jego płytkość") — a thin bench of specialists and, he argues, a shortage of investors ambitious enough on behalf of their founders who have seen a full fund return up close.
- Pragmatic operator's view of company-building: "building a company doesn't always have to be blood, sweat and tears."
