Laura Rodriguez

Laura Rodríguez Gallego is a Partner at Invivo Partners (also branded Invivo Capital), a Barcelona-based venture firm co-founded around 2012 by Dr. Luis Pareras and Albert Ferrer that invests in early-stage life sciences. She began her venture career as an investment analyst at Healthequity in January 2018 — Healthequity SCR is the healthcare VC vehicle linked to the Barcelona College of Physicians and managed out of the same Passeig de Gràcia office (which is why the Healthequity email and phone number attach to her). She moved onto the Invivo team in 2019, was later promoted to Principal, and in March 2024 was elevated to Partner, announced alongside the firm's €100M Invivo Ventures III fund. Managing Partner Luis Pareras described it as "an absolute privilege to welcome Laura to our partnership."

Her background is scientific and translational rather than purely financial. She holds a BSc in Biotechnology (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), a PhD in Biotechnology (Universitat de Barcelona) with a focus on oncology gene therapy, and a postgraduate course in Innovation Management (UAB). Before venture capital she worked in technology transfer at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), bridging academic research and commercialization.

At Invivo she is an active board-level operator, not just a capital allocator. She serves on the Board of Directors of OneChain Immunotherapeutics and Telomere Therapeutics, and as a board Observer at Arthex Biotech, and she is a frequent mentor, evaluator, and conference speaker in the Spanish and European biotech ecosystem (e.g., Phacilitate, LSX Investival Showcase). Invivo today manages three funds with assets under management above €150M, backed by institutional investors including the European Investment Fund, Fond-ICO Global, the Catalan Finance Institute, and Barcelona City Council.
