Background
Louis Sutre is Partner - CFO at Teampact Ventures, an impact-oriented venture capital firm backing climate and health startups and using a community of elite athletes, entrepreneurs, and investors to support founders on individual and collective performance. Teampact’s team page lists him as “Partner - CFO,” and The Org lists his current role as Partner & CFO in Paris.
Before Teampact, Sutre worked at CapHorn Invest from 2014 to 2021, first as a venture capital analyst and later as CFO. CapHorn was a French VC firm focused on B2B digital companies; a 2018 NOAH investor book listed CapHorn’s AUM at €180M, target investment size at €1M-€20M, and Sutre’s CapHorn email as the contact email. French company registries also list Louis Sutre as a former administrator of CapHorn Invest before its absorption into Anaxago Capital.
After CapHorn, Sutre joined Anaxago in 2021, where The Org lists him as CFO and Fund Manager at Anaxago Capital. A 2025 Invyo interview with Teampact co-founder Romain Vidal says Sutre was CFO at CapHorn, helped Teampact from the beginning, and joined Teampact officially later.
Sutre’s education includes economics, international finance, corporate finance, and financial management programs at Université de Bordeaux, IAE Bordeaux, and Université de Fribourg, according to The Org. The same source lists an AMF certification obtained in 2017.
Investment Thesis & Focus
- Teampact invests primarily in climate and health startups, with particular interest in AI and robotics.
- The firm mainly invests at Seed and Series A, while remaining open to earlier-stage companies where it can add strong value.
- Teampact’s stated thesis: “We invest in bold entrepreneurs tackling global challenges in climate tech and healthcare.”
- In climate, the firm looks for more sustainable alternatives that do not require customers to accept weaker performance or higher prices; Romain Vidal told Invyo they avoid companies that depend on subsidies or penalties to exist.
- In health, Teampact avoids pure biotech with long binary clinical risk and focuses instead on AI in health, medical robotics, organoids, remote monitoring, and real-time patient follow-up.
- The firm screens for both impact and people performance; its sustainability page says it invests in climate and health tech companies “from Seed to Series X” and screens people-performance metrics before investing.
- Teampact’s support model centers on team quality: workshops, mentoring from elite athletes, founder-athlete pairings, and help with communication, pressure management, and collective performance.
