Maciej Zuzalek

Maciej Zużałek is a Warsaw-based private equity investor and executive whose career has centered on Bridgepoint, the pan-European mid-market private equity firm. He first joined Bridgepoint in 2007, where for over a decade he was responsible for the firm's investment activity in Poland and the wider CEE region and for overseeing its portfolio companies. Before Bridgepoint he built his transaction experience at international advisory and investment firms including Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young (where he was a Senior Manager in Transaction Advisory Services), and Enterprise Investors. He holds an MBA from the Warsaw University of Technology Business School (Szkoła Biznesu Politechniki Warszawskiej, 1997–1999).

During his Bridgepoint years he sat on the supervisory boards of numerous CEE portfolio companies, including Smyk (children's retail), Dr Gerard (biscuits/confectionery), BIKE24, Grupa o2, CTL Logistics, and Ten Square Games. He served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ten Square Games — one of Poland's largest mobile-game developers — from 2017.

In June 2020 Zużałek stepped out of the investor seat to become President of the Management Board (CEO) of Ten Square Games S.A., succeeding founder Maciej Popowicz, and led the listed company through a phase of expansion and diversification. He resigned that role in April 2023 (effective 22 May 2023), handing over to COO Andrzej Ilczuk as the company refocused on its core productions. He subsequently returned to the Bridgepoint orbit, associated with the firm's healthcare/investment activity as a Director.

Alongside his institutional roles, Zużałek is active as an individual/angel investor and board member. He is Chairman of the Board of NEO Hospital, has held management or board roles at healthcare-related entities such as Nova Medicina and Neo Robotics, and in February 2024 he partnered with Smyk management-board president Michał Grom and Accession Capital Partners' Accession Mezzanine Capital V fund in a management buyout to acquire the Smyk Group from Bridgepoint.
