Background
Mansour Salame is a serial Silicon Valley entrepreneur with multiple successful exits, and currently the Founder and CEO of FrontSpin, a cloud-based inside-sales communication and power-dialer platform headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Early in his career he worked at Genesys Telecommunications and as a consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
His first startup, NextAge Technologies, was acquired by Alcatel (NYSE: ALU). His second company, Contactual, was a pioneer of SaaS-based contact centers — an approach that became an industry standard — and was acquired by 8x8 (Nasdaq: EGHT), a leader in communications-as-a-service. These operating exits in cloud communications and sales technology form the backbone of both his domain expertise and his angel-investing thesis.
Salame founded FrontSpin to bring a streamlined, cloud-based sales engagement and dialing system to inside-sales teams. (As of early 2026, FrontSpin had become part of TitanX.) Alongside his operating roles, he has been an active angel investor through the Band of Angels network, and has served on company boards (including a board seat at ShareVault). He is also noted as President of Petree Properties, a real estate holding.
Investment Thesis & Focus
- Invests as an angel, primarily at seed / early stage, frequently through the Band of Angels network.
- Stated areas of interest: "technology and business productivity platforms."
- Strong affinity for B2B SaaS, sales technology, cloud communications, and contact-center / productivity tooling — the domains where he has operated and exited.
- As a multiple-time founder and operator, he brings hands-on go-to-market and inside-sales expertise, and has taken board roles in companies he backs.
- Reported to have made a small, concentrated set of personal investments (roughly 2 tracked deals), suggesting a selective, hands-on rather than high-volume approach.
Notable Investments
- UXPin — UX design/prototyping SaaS platform; participated in the company's seed round (Seed VC-III, Feb 2014). UXPin later exited in June 2020.
- ShareVault — Secure virtual data room / document-sharing platform; Salame has held a board seat.
