Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Tiger's strategy is growth capital for middle-market infrastructure, with the stated goal of creating mature traditional or core infrastructure assets from earlier-stage infrastructure platforms.
  • The firm targets infrastructure that provides essential services and real assets with barriers to entry.
  • Tiger seeks to capitalize on demand trends for "the infrastructure of tomorrow" by providing growth capital for "creating, expanding and/or consolidating assets or companies into scaled enterprises."
  • Core sectors are digital infrastructure, energy transition and transportation.
  • Target situations include expansion of existing assets or networks, creation of new assets/platforms/networks, and consolidation through synergistic acquisitions.
  • Typical equity investment size is $75 million to $200 million, with larger investments possible alongside co-investors and smaller initial toe-hold investments where Tiger expects room to deploy significant capital later.
  • Tiger typically seeks majority stakes, but will make minority investments with partners that share its growth and value-added approach.
