Marc Brucherseifer

Marc-Anton Brucherseifer, born 26 June 1962 in Frechen, Germany, is a German telecommunications entrepreneur and investor. After training as a wholesale and foreign-trade merchant, he studied business administration, working as an independent consultant (including for L&M) in the mid-1980s before joining the mobile-communications sector. He is best known as a co-founder and major shareholder of Drillisch, the telecommunications group he helped build from the mid-1980s onward.

At Drillisch AG (incorporated 1997), Brucherseifer served as spokesman of the management board (Vorstandssprecher), overseeing business customers, financial communications and workflow marketing, until 2005. Ahead of the company's IPO he held nearly 56% of Drillisch shares. He subsequently sat on the company's supervisory board from 2007 to 2017, chairing it from 2011. Drillisch later merged into United Internet's mobile business and became part of 1&1 AG.

Since 2005 he has been the managing owner of Colonia Private Equity GmbH (c-p-e.de), a Cologne-based investment firm that holds and invests in non-listed companies and real estate across telecommunications, media & lifestyle, real estate, renewable energy, industry, and web/app ventures. Portfolio and project holdings have included the City Outlet Bad Münstereifel (a designer outlet center he financed, opened 2014), GftK/GftK International (construction chemicals), Sun2 Projects (solar), CIS Colonia Immobilien Service, and Factory Berlin. He co-manages related vehicles such as Colonia Projects GmbH (formerly Great Wheel Holding) and Bad Münstereifel Real Estate. He also co-founded the Cöllnische Stiftung (2012) and briefly sat on the administrative council of Revox AG in 2012.

On the startup side, Brucherseifer is one of the backers behind JMES Investments and Factory Berlin, the Berlin tech hub launched around 2011–2014. Together with Udo Schloemer, Simon Schaefer, Sascha Gechter, Andreas Hoffmann and Dario Suter, he provided capital to establish Factory and has invested through JMES in early-stage German startups.
