Mark Dunstan

Mark Dunstan is an Executive Director and Luxembourg resident with roughly two decades of experience in corporate and institutional banking, concentrated in debt origination, structured finance and securitisation. He first joined BGP in 2006 from ING, where he had been a Managing Director within Financial Markets. He subsequently left BGP for about 18 months to serve as Head of Specialised Funds EMEA at the investment bank Babcock & Brown, before returning to BGP.

As Managing Director / CEO he led a substantial restructuring of BGP's business after its property portfolio contracted to roughly €2.3bn by 2009. BGP itself originated as the European property investment joint venture that The GPT Group had acquired with Babcock & Brown; it was effectively spun off in 2009 and managed the wind-down and value recovery of those assets on behalf of shareholders. BGP Holdings, the listed Maltese public company atop the structure, ran a multi-year liquidation that completed in 2022, distributing final proceeds to holders.

Alongside his BGP role, Dunstan was appointed non-executive Chairman of Oxford Properties Europe in January 2018 and is listed as Chairman, Europe, at Oxford Properties Group (the real-estate arm of Canada's OMERS pension plan), based in Luxembourg. He has also served on the boards of BGP Holdings PLC and Bormioli Rocco Holdings S.A.

He holds a BA and an LLB from the University of Sydney.
