Background
Martijn Hamann is a co-owner and founding Partner of Endeit Capital, which he joined at its inception in 2006. Endeit is an Amsterdam-based growth capital firm — with additional offices in Hamburg and Stockholm — that backs European technology scale-ups. Within the partnership, Martijn concentrates on the "Future of Work" segment (alongside colleagues Niclas and Silvia) and leads deal activity across the DACH region, the UK, and the Nordics. He also organizes Endeit's annual AI Innovation trip, a week-long immersion connecting the European AI community with global leaders.
Before Endeit, Martijn spent a decade at Endemol, the world's largest independent multi-screen content producer, which he joined in 1996. From 2003 to 2006 he served on the Executive Director team, responsible for international operations, managing worldwide key subsidiaries, and developing new business and new markets. Earlier at Endemol he headed the company's global M&A activities. Prior to Endemol, until 1996, he was a consultant at the leading Dutch M&A boutique Reitsma & Wertheim (now part of Investec).
He holds a BA in Economics and an MSc in Business Administration from Erasmus University's Rotterdam School of Management in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Over nearly two decades at Endeit, Martijn has taken numerous board seats. He currently sits on the boards of Aethon, Lepaya, Klara, and Infraspeak, and has previously served on the boards of companies including TourRadar, Happeo, Blis, Chronext, Gastrofix, Contorion, Gridscale, Unruly, Smartclip, Improve Digital, Spil Games, and Paylogic.
