Background

Matt Jamison is President and Managing Director of PMCF (P&M Corporate Finance), a middle-market investment bank founded in 1995 that has now completed more than 300 financial advisory engagements. He has more than 30 years of professional experience advising clients on strategic and financial alternatives, sale and acquisition transactions, divestitures, and recapitalizations. As President, he sets the firm's strategic, operational, and financial direction, manages client relationships, leads transaction teams, and markets the firm's services.

Before PMCF, Jamison worked as an international consultant and CPA at Plante Moran (PMCF originated from the Plante Moran organization). He joined PMCF as a Vice President shortly after the firm was founded and rose to Managing Director, helping transform it from a generalist practice into an industry-focused middle-market investment bank. Along the way he launched the firm's Plastics & Packaging practice and today co-leads its Business Services & Technology group, with deep activity in the Human Capital Management / staffing sub-sector.

He holds a BA in accounting from Hillsdale College and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is a licensed securities representative holding Series 7, 24, and 63 registrations, and he serves as a board member of Corporate Finance International, PMCF's global investment banking affiliate. He is also involved with the New Day Foundation for Families, a Michigan charity supporting families facing cancer.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Advises (rather than invests) — PMCF acts as exclusive financial advisor on sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, recapitalizations, divestitures, and capital raising for middle-market companies.
  • Deep industry specialization rather than a generalist approach — Jamison personally focuses on Business Services & Technology (including Human Capital Management and staffing) and helped build the firm's Plastics & Packaging vertical.
  • Typical clients are privately/family-owned businesses, private equity groups, and corporate divisions seeking a sale, acquisition, or growth-financing outcome.
  • Firm positioning: PMCF advises across "The Americas, Europe, and Asia," using its Corporate Finance International affiliation for cross-border reach.

Notable Investments

  • MIPRO Consulting → Kastech Software Solutions Group — PMCF served as exclusive financial advisor to MIPRO, a Milford, MI Oracle/PeopleSoft services firm founded in 2005; transaction closed September 2023.
  • TriState Container Corporation → Unicorr Packaging Group — PMCF exclusive financial advisor to TriState, a 70+ year Northeastern-US corrugated packaging manufacturer (Plastics & Packaging vertical).
  • Corporate Screening, Credential Check, First Advantage — background-screening / HCM-sector companies featured among his transactions, aligned with his Business Services & Technology / Human Capital Management focus.
  • Additional featured deals on his PMCF profile include Watterson, Iron Creek, TPC, VFPG, HOK, and Crook Fire, spanning business services, industrials, and packaging.
