Melody Bamdad

Melody Bamdad is a Certified Public Accountant and private-equity finance executive based in the Los Angeles area. She earned a B.A. in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She began her career in public accounting as an Audit Manager at PwC in New York before moving to the buy side.

In Los Angeles, she served as Assistant Controller at Ares Management, the large publicly traded alternative-asset manager, gaining experience in fund accounting and financial reporting at scale. She then joined Ocean Avenue Capital Partners, a Santa Monica–based private equity firm (401 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 1020) that pursues special-situation and small-company investment opportunities across the U.S. and Canada, where she held the role of Chief Financial Officer, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting.

In 2025 she moved to Aurora Capital Partners, a Los Angeles–based middle-market private equity firm (~$6.2B AUM per regulatory filings), where she serves as both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. She has been listed in that dual role on the firm's Form ADV since January 2025. Aurora focuses on Industrial & Business Services, Industrial Technologies, and Software & Tech-Enabled Services.
