Background
Meredith Finn is a finance executive and venture investor whose career spans corporate finance, operating, and investing roles across enterprise and consumer technology. She earned an AB in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA with Dean's Honors from Columbia Business School. She began her career in technology, telecom, and media investment banking at Citigroup and Evercore Partners, advising on M&A, LBOs, IPOs, and corporate finance, before moving into operating roles at Google and Twitter, where she oversaw financial and operational planning for global go-to-market teams.
Finn built her investing reputation at Salesforce Ventures, where she spent roughly four years and rose to Vice President/Director. There she helped lead 40+ enterprise investments (Series A through growth) in companies such as Twilio, Stripe, Anaplan, Pendo, Optimizely, Cogito, Guild Education, Ellevest, and Pymetrics, and co-led the launch of Salesforce's $50M Impact Investing Fund. She then joined Los Angeles-based March Capital Partners as a Partner, leading investments into enterprise B2B companies raising Series A, B, and C rounds, with an emphasis on next-generation, AI-embedded platforms.
More recently Finn has shifted primarily to operating finance leadership. She served as CFO of enterprise SaaS company MANTL, where she drove a reacceleration in growth alongside improved capital efficiency, and in mid-2024 she was named Chief Financial Officer of Front, the customer-communication/operations software company — a company whose CEO, Dan O'Connell, she first met in 2016 as a Salesforce Ventures investor when he led TalkIQ. She also serves as Operating Partner, Finance at Act One Ventures, a seed-stage LA venture firm, and continues to make selective angel/personal investments. Across her VC career she has completed 50+ investments in B2B software.
Finn is an active advocate for women in enterprise technology and diverse founders. She co-chaired "The Rise of the Female Entrepreneur" at The Montgomery Summit, launched Navigate (a women-in-enterprise-tech summit in New York), and has served as a Pod Leader for Parity Partners.
Investment Thesis & Focus
- Enterprise software with intelligence built in: "We're looking for companies that are really trying to build those next-gen platforms that have intelligence embedded in them" — she prefers AI woven into products rather than standalone AI layers.
- AI in the back office: "I'm largely focused on investments in enterprise software, primarily in the areas of application software and intelligence… particularly interested in the productivity gains we can see from AI in the back office — human resources, finance, and operations in general."
- Proof of enterprise traction: Looks for real product-market fit — six-to-seven-figure annual contract values, Fortune 500 customer logos, and strong early net-retention.
- Stage/check: Growth-oriented at March Capital (Series A–C, roughly $25M–$100M, ~$50M sweet spot from a ~$410M fund); smaller seed/angel checks personally.
- Sector breadth: Horizontal enterprise applications, fintech, and industrial tech (she has noted roughly a half-dozen industrial-tech portfolio companies).
- Founder qualities that make her say yes: big transformative vision, demonstrated ability to build a strong team, and openness to feedback/coaching — "understanding how open and receptive all of these CEOs were to feedback, coaching, and improvement."
