Merete Moller

Merete Lundbye Møller is a Danish lawyer and the Venture Partner & General Counsel of Sunstone Life Science Ventures, an independent European venture capital firm founded in 2007 and headquartered in Copenhagen. As the firm's in-house counsel, she focuses on legal affairs and corporate governance and, drawing on more than 25 years of experience, is typically engaged across the full investment lifecycle — from the initial investment through to final exit negotiations.

Before joining Sunstone, Merete practiced law for nine years at Gorrissen Federspiel, one of Denmark's leading law firms, where she specialised in mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate and general contract law. She is admitted to both the New York Bar and the Danish Bar, and holds LL.M. degrees from New York University School of Law and from Aarhus University, Denmark.

Beyond Sunstone, Merete is active as a board director across business, public-interest and cultural organisations. Her reported directorships have included deputy chair of TV 2 Danmark, chair of Bullitt Film ApS, and board memberships at Greenland Holding A/S, the Danish Green Investment Fund (Danmarks Grønne Investeringsfond), Curo Capital Fondsmæglerselskab A/S, the performance-theatre company Hotel Pro Forma, and the art space Warehouse9. This mix reflects a career that pairs deep transactional/legal expertise with governance work across both commercial and cultural institutions.

• Invests through Sunstone Life Science Ventures, an early-stage European life-science VC with roughly €500M under management focused on transforming scientific discovery into therapeutics that improve patient outcomes.

• Prioritises therapeutics with solid in-vivo preclinical data and a well-understood mechanism of action, often in niche/specialty pharma and orphan-drug indications.
