Ming Lee

Ming Lee is the Founder, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of CaiDao Capital, a Hong Kong–based independent private-equity and alternative-investment platform she established in 2007. The firm's name, CAIDAO (財道), is drawn from a Chinese proverb meaning "the Road to Prosperity," meant to capture a spirit of strategy, finance, and wisdom. Under her leadership the firm is licensed in Hong Kong to advise on securities and provide asset management to professional investors, operating with a small team (reported at roughly 6–11 staff).

Before founding CaiDao Capital, Lee built a career in private banking and wealth/asset management across several institutions, with prior roles at Barclays Private Bank, Azimuth Trust, MLP Limited, and Sal. Oppenheim (HK) Limited. Her stated areas of expertise span private equity, alternative investments, emerging markets, equities, and direct/co-investment structuring. She holds a degree from the University of Maryland University College (studied 1982–1986).
