Mohammad Mousa

Mohammad "Mo" Mousa is the Chief Financial Officer of the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, a role he has held since March 2016. At GTCF he helps develop the organization's strategic direction and oversees its finance, accounting, investments, endowment, human resources, information technology, and operations functions. GTCF is a place-based community foundation serving Pierce County, Washington, and is reported to steward assets on the order of ~$180 million.

Before GTCF, Mousa built a career in finance and accounting across venture capital, biotechnology, and public accounting. He served as controller for a Seattle-based venture capital firm (his history includes ties to Frazier Healthcare and Technology Ventures) and as corporate/assistant controller for Seattle-area technology and biotechnology companies, including MicroVision Inc. Mousa holds an MBA (Accounting) from Kansas State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His professional skill set spans auditing, variance analysis, banking, and financial leadership. He has been recognized as an RBJ (regional business journal) "Forty Under 40" honoree and as a Financial Leaders honoree.

Outside of his finance career, Mousa is a former professional soccer player who coaches youth teams locally and founded a youth leadership and mentoring program.
