Nicola Palmer

Nicola Palmer is a Partner at Arcus Infrastructure Partners, a London-headquartered independent manager focused on European mid-market infrastructure. She was a member of the team that founded Arcus in 2009 and had earlier been part of the team responsible for creating the Arcus European Infrastructure Fund 1 (AEIF1) in 2007 (originally within Babcock & Brown, from which Arcus spun out). She has served on the Fund's Investment Committee since 2009 and today co-heads Arcus's Transport sector team, focusing on originating transactions across European transport infrastructure.

Palmer has more than 25 years in the infrastructure investment sector — first in Australia and, for roughly the last 15 years, in Europe. Her experience spans developing, financing and managing infrastructure assets across water and wastewater, power generation, rail and light rail, toll roads, gas pipelines, electricity and gas distribution networks, and ports. Notably, she led the Fund's acquisition of Forth Ports and acted as asset manager for Forth Ports until June 2012, when her focus shifted to capital raising; she has also sat on Forth Ports investee-company boards.

She holds board/officer roles associated with Arcus investee entities, including Arcus A1 Luxembourg S.à r.l. and Gdansk Transport Company (GTC, the concession company behind the A1 toll motorway in Poland), per LinkedIn and UK Companies House records.

Palmer's education is Australian: a Bachelor of Science (1988) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (1990) from the University of Sydney, a Diploma from the Securities Institute in Sydney (1992), and a Master of Finance from Macquarie University (1994). Her career in infrastructure began in 1994.
