Background

Noam Lovinsky is Chief Product Officer at Superhuman, the company formerly known as Grammarly after its 2025 rebrand. Superhuman’s media bio says he leads product, design, data science, and growth. He joined Grammarly as Chief Product Officer in May 2023, reporting to Rahul Roy-Chowdhury, as part of a leadership transition announced by Grammarly.

Before Grammarly/Superhuman, Lovinsky held senior product leadership roles at Meta, where he helped start and scale the New Product Experimentation teams focused on zero-to-one product development. Earlier, he was responsible for product management, design, growth, analytics, and performance marketing at Thumbtack, a local services marketplace. His LinkedIn activity and articles show he joined Thumbtack in 2016 and was writing publicly about Thumbtack’s product strategy in 2018.

Earlier in his career, Lovinsky worked at Google/YouTube. Superhuman’s bio says he led the product teams behind YouTube’s apps across mobile, tablet, desktop, and TV, as well as search, discovery, personalization, recommendations, and other viewer-facing features. He also co-founded Episodic, an online video hosting and publishing platform acquired by Google in 2010, with the team joining YouTube.

Lovinsky has a BS in computer science and economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Superhuman’s bio and Product School both place him in San Francisco.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Public sources identify Lovinsky as an angel/individual investor rather than a full-time fund manager.
  • His confirmed investment record includes seed and Series A participation, with Chatfuel at seed in 2016 and Latent Space at Series A in 2017.
  • The most visible pattern is operator-led investing in product-heavy software: messaging/bots, AI/ML, consumer internet, and productivity-adjacent software.
  • AngelMatch lists his markets as artificial intelligence, games, consumer internet, and machine learning, and lists seed as a stage.
  • His operating worldview is strongly product-led. In a 2026 Product School trend piece, Lovinsky is quoted saying, “Every PM is a growth PM,” and that PMs should think about go-to-market from day one.
  • His Superhuman product positioning suggests a preference for AI that fits into existing workflows: “We built Superhuman Go because we believe AI should reduce friction, not create it.”

Notable Investments

  • Chatfuel - Bot-building platform for messaging apps. TechCrunch reported in March 2016 that Yandex led an undisclosed round in February 2016 with participation from Y Combinator and angel investor Noam Lovinsky.
  • Latent Space - AI/machine-learning company described by Wellfound as building generative models for businesses and creatives. Kando/VC DATALAB lists Lovinsky as a participant in Latent Space’s $7.5 million Series A dated April 12, 2017, alongside General Catalyst, Greylock, Ruchi Sanghvi, Jason Toff, Shishir Mehrotra, and others.
