Pablo Arozarena

Pablo Armida Arozarena is a Mexican entrepreneur and investor, born in September 1989. He studied Chemical Engineering at Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México (2008–2012). He began his career in Strategic Sales at Oracle Corporation (2011), then moved into investment banking at Dadoo & Asociados (2012) before entering venture capital.

In 2013 he joined Ideas y Capital (also styled "Ideas & Capital"), a Mexico City–based venture capital and control-acquisition firm founded in 2013 whose partners include Ricardo Elizondo Guajardo and Xavier Ponce de León Inman. The fund backs early-stage founders (Seed to pre-Series B, checks of roughly $250K–$3M) and acquires majority stakes in profitable SMEs across Latin America. His association with Ideas y Capital — and the `@ideasycapital.com` email plus Mexico City phone line — is the basis of his "angel investor / principal" listing.

Armida later became an operator himself, co-founding Grupo R5, a Colombian fintech, alongside CEO Fernando Sucre. R5 offers digital purchase of Colombia's mandatory SOAT vehicle insurance, technical-inspection (RTM) scheduling, and vehicle-backed lending using a machine-learning risk model to reach underserved consumers. He serves as Co-founder and Product Lead.

He was named an Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2022, has been enrolled in Harvard Business School's "Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures" program, and appears in UK company records as a director of Prosperity Protocol Limited (appointed May 2022).
