Pete Keliuotis

Pete Keliuotis is a CFA charterholder with more than 35 years of investment and consulting experience, focused on alternative investments for large institutional clients such as pensions, endowments, and foundations. He earned a BS in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in Analytic Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and he began his career at Northern Trust Company in Chicago and Hotchkis and Wiley in Los Angeles before moving into investment consulting.

He served as a Principal and Senior Consultant at Mercer Investment Consulting, then became Managing Director and CEO of Strategic Investment Solutions (SIS), where he led the firm's general and private markets consulting teams and advised several large institutional investors. In 2014 he joined Cliffwater LLC — the firm listed in the stub data — as a Senior Managing Director in the New York office and a senior member of its portfolio advisory team, specializing in alternatives investing for institutional clients.

In 2019 Keliuotis left Cliffwater to join Callan LLC, one of the largest independent institutional investment consulting firms in the U.S., as head of its Alternatives Consulting group, leading the private equity, private credit, and hedge fund consulting teams while advising clients on their alternatives portfolios. Effective June 15, 2026, Callan promoted him to the newly created role of Director of Public and Private Markets Research (announced June 10, 2026), where he oversees global manager research, alternatives and real assets research, and research technology — managing a team of more than 30 research professionals while continuing to lead alternatives consulting. He is a Callan shareholder and sits on the firm's Management Committee, Alternatives Review Committee, Client Policy Review Committee, and Institute Advisory Committee.
