Peter Blacklow

Peter Blacklow is a General Partner and co-founder of Boston Seed Capital, an early-stage venture firm rooted in Boston's startup ecosystem that describes itself as "founders investing in founders." At the firm he sources and leads new investments, serves on multiple portfolio boards, and brings hands-on marketing, growth, and mentoring support to founders — a role shaped by a long operating career before he became an investor.

Prior to venture capital, Blacklow was a company builder and senior operator. His business WorldWinner / FUN Technologies was acquired by Liberty Media and later folded into Sony Pictures Television, where he served as Executive Vice President of Digital at GSN (Game Show Network). Earlier, he was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Monster.com during its high-growth era, and before that he ran Converse's roughly $120 million global basketball business unit. That operating arc — spanning consumer brands, digital media, and online gaming — underpins his specialty in consumer, sports, and gaming startups.

Blacklow is a graduate of Harvard University and has been recognized for his marketing work, including being named one of the nation's top "Marketers of the Year" by Promo Magazine. He is deeply networked in the sports-tech world: he is a co-founder and Co-Chairman of Drive by DraftKings, an ecosystem designed to accelerate sports professionals into tech and tech entrepreneurs into sports, having been an early advisor and investor in DraftKings itself.

Across his career he has taken numerous board and advisory roles, including board seats at FamilyID, Humanyze, Openbay, Playfull, and QL Gaming Group, and more recently at companies such as Beamable, Alyce, Reggora, and Elite HRV. He has also advised and invested in ventures like Sparx Hockey.
