Background
Peter J. Pellizzon is a co-founder of Hollencrest Capital Management, where he is listed as Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer and Portfolio Manager. Hollencrest says he has more than 40 years of investment experience and continues to lead and develop the firm.
Pellizzon began his career in 1983 as an Assistant Specialist with Shearson Lehman on the floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange in Los Angeles. He moved to Paine Webber in 1987 as a stockbroker, then joined Prudential Securities in Newport Beach in 1990 as Vice President of Investments. At Prudential, he helped form the Pellizzon Frolich Financial Group, a group focused on private clients, holders of restricted securities and institutions.
In April 1999, Pellizzon and his partners established Hollencrest Capital Management from that Prudential team. Hollencrest states that Greg Pellizzon, Peter Pellizzon and Rob Wolford founded the firm with a focus on personalized service and investment strategies; the firm says it has grown into one of the largest boutique wealth management firms in Southern California, with nearly $3 billion in client assets. Pellizzon also co-founded Hollencrest Bayview Partners, described by Hollencrest as a fixed-income arbitrage, real-return hedge fund.
Pellizzon attended the University of the Pacific and UCLA, with a major in Economics. Hollencrest also lists him as Chairman of Global Genes, a nonprofit advocacy organization for individuals and families affected by rare and genetic diseases.
