Peter Viles spent more than 20 years as a journalist before moving into corporate communications. Over that career he reported for The Montgomery Advertiser, the Associated Press, CNN (as a business/media correspondent), and the Los Angeles Times, where he became widely known for authoring the popular "L.A. Land" real-estate blog around 2007–2008 — coverage prominent enough to be featured by CNBC during the housing downturn.
