Ranjith Menon

Ranjith Menon is a Partner and Managing Director at Chiratae Ventures, one of India's largest home-grown technology-focused venture capital firms (formerly IDG Ventures India). He has been in the industry since 2000 and active in venture investment advisory since 2007, concentrating on early-stage investments in the health-tech and online B2B domains.

Before moving into venture capital, Menon had an engineering career: he spent several years designing aircraft engines for Pratt & Whitney and did aero-structural design work for Airbus. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University and an MBA from the Great Lakes Institute of Management.

Over nearly two decades at Chiratae, Menon has been associated with some of the firm's marquee exits and remains one of its senior deal leaders. As of 2025 he — alongside fellow Managing Director Venkatesh Peddi — leads Chiratae's Fund V, the firm's fifth early-stage venture fund, which announced a second close of USD 150 million on September 23, 2025.
