Rick Gibb

Rick Gibb is a co-founder of Bioverge, which he launched in 2016 alongside Neil J. Littman as a healthcare-dedicated investment platform. He serves as Investment Partner and Chief Operating Officer. Bioverge positions itself as a highly curated investment platform "exclusively dedicated to healthcare," giving founders access to capital and to a network of angel investors, strategic partners, subject-matter experts, and disease foundations; it later expanded into equity crowdfunding under Reg CF, opening private healthcare deals to family offices, RIAs, and accredited and non-accredited individuals.

Before Bioverge, Gibb spent roughly three years in Stanford University's Office of the CFO as a Senior Venture Fund Analyst, where he helped manage and oversee two university venture portfolios — the President's Venture Fund and the Stanford-StartX Fund — vehicles associated with more than $400M invested in university-affiliated technologies. Earlier, he worked in technology transfer at Stanford's Office of Technology Licensing (OTL), where he managed a large portfolio of early-stage biotech and med-tech inventions that included seed-stage names such as Personalis, Kodiak Sciences, Oculeve, GenapSys, HeartFlow, and Orca Bio.

Gibb's earlier career includes operational, engineering, and business-development work at MediSens Wireless, a medical-device startup. On the education side, he holds a B.S. in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering from Rice University and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University — a life-sciences foundation that underpins Bioverge's technical diligence in healthcare.
