Robert “Bob” Eddy is best documented publicly as the co-founder of the San Diego wealth-management firm now known as Creative Capital Management Investments LLC (CCMI), not as an angel investor. CCMI says Peg and Bob Eddy created what became the firm in the mid-1970s to provide bookkeeping and business counseling services to small businesses in San Diego. Less than a decade later, the Eddys incorporated Creative Capital Management Inc. and began offering personal financial advice to individuals, families, and business owners.
CCMI’s predecessor began managing investments in 1990 after its financial-planning clients sought help with investment portfolios. The firm’s own history says Matt Showley joined in 2006, Brian Matter joined in 2010, and a succession plan developed under the Eddys’ mentorship.
