Roberto Nespolo

Roberto Nespolo is a Geneva-based entrepreneur and financial advisor, best known as the founder and CEO of Altitude Fiduciary Advisors (AFA) SA, a Geneva business-management and fiduciary firm he established in 2010. AFA provides accounting, tax, financial and transactional advisory, company formation/administration and domiciliation services, and explicitly positions itself as a hands-on partner that helps companies through their growth stages — from startups and "climbers" to new market entrants and established businesses. The firm operates in Geneva and Vaud and is registered in the Swiss commercial register as active in accounting, bookkeeping, auditing and tax consultancy. In his own words on the firm site, "We don't just guide businesses, we walk the path with you to ensure your success in every step."

Earlier in his career Nespolo was associated with Consulting Benbassat & Cie / Genevalor, Benbassat & Cie, the Geneva asset-management partnership founded by the Benbassat family in 1983. He is recorded in third-party financial databases as a partner of that firm, alongside members of the Benbassat family. Genevalor, Benbassat & Cie became internationally notable — and ultimately controversial — for having created several European feeder funds (including the Irish-registered Thema International Fund and the Hermes/Thema funds) that channeled nearly US$2 billion into Bernard Madoff's fraudulent investment operation. Genevalor denied prior knowledge of the fraud; the Thema fund settled with the Madoff trustee for US$687 million in 2017, and the Genevalor, Benbassat & Cie entity was struck off the register in November 2017. Swiss gazette records indicate Nespolo's signing powers in the related Benbassat partnership were subsequently withdrawn.

Today his public-facing identity is centered on AFA and on angel/early-stage activity carried out under the Genevalor name (the source of his [hidden] address). The angel-investor and seed-stage positioning reflected in his contact data is consistent with AFA's emphasis on backing and operationally supporting young companies, though detailed, independently documented startup-investment records are limited in the public domain.
