Roger Adolfsen

Roger Adolfsen is a Norwegian entrepreneur and investor who, together with his brother Kristian A. Adolfsen, controls the Adolfsen Group — a privately held Norwegian investment group with roughly 31,000 employees and around NOK 20 billion in annual revenue. The brothers grew up on Andøya in northern Norway, where their business story began: in the early 1990s they bought back the family hotel, Andrikken Hotel, which became the seed of the Norlandia hotel chain and, ultimately, a diversified care-services and hospitality empire.

Roger earned an undergraduate degree from BI Norwegian Business School in 1987 and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin in 1990. Building outward from hotels, the Adolfsen brothers expanded into care services — operating elderly-care centers, patient hotels, child-welfare institutions, and asylum/immigrant reception centers — and Norlandia Care Group grew into one of the largest private kindergarten operators in Northern Europe, with operations in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands.

In 2010 Roger founded Pioneer Capital Partners AS, an Oslo-based, entrepreneur-owned investment firm that backs Nordic growth companies either directly or through partnerships. He is also Chairman of Pioneer Property Group ASA (since 2015) and CEO/co-founder of Hospitality Invest AS, the private investment company he and Kristian use to hold and grow their operating businesses. The brothers describe themselves as "dedicated entrepreneurs, thriving for creativity, profitable growth and operational excellence," and they typically stay involved through active ownership, board representation, and operational support rather than passive capital.
