Ron Quintero

Ronald G. Quintero is the founder of R. G. Quintero & Co. and its affiliate Chartered Capital Advisers, Inc., a New York City–based corporate financial advisory firm that opened its NYC office in 1988 and has served 600+ clients worldwide. Over a career spanning roughly five decades, he has provided merger & acquisition, valuation, and corporate financial advisory services to several hundred clients of all sizes across nearly every major industry. He has performed more than five hundred valuations and has testified as an expert witness in courts throughout the United States and abroad on more than 150 occasions, in matters including business valuations, M&A, bankruptcy & insolvency, forensic accounting, financial forecasting, investments, and financial damages.

Prior to founding his own firm, Quintero was a member of the Investment Banking Department of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.; a management consultant at Zolfo, Cooper & Co.; and a Senior Manager responsible for the mergers & acquisitions management consulting practice of the New York office of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG). In more recent years he has been extensively involved in turnarounds, workouts, and bankruptcies, and has served as a trustee and examiner for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, as well as on boards of public, private, and not-for-profit organizations.

He holds an A.B. in Economics from Lafayette College and an M.S. in Accountancy plus an Advanced Professional Certificate in Investment Management from the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration (Stern). His professional credentials are unusually broad: CPA, CFA, CMA (Certified Management Accountant), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CIRA (Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor), CTP (Certified Turnaround Professional), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), and ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation).

Quintero is also a prolific author and educator. He has written numerous articles in national publications and chapters in works including the *Handbook of Business Strategy*, *The Acquisitions Manual*, *Investing in Bankruptcies and Turnarounds*, and *The New Era of Investment Banking*. His index of publicly traded bankrupt companies — the "Quintero Index" — has been reported by national periodicals. He has lectured in 60+ U.S. cities and 20+ countries on five continents, is a Marquis Who's Who Lifetime Achievement inductee, a multiple-year recipient of the *Lawyer Monthly* Expert Witness Award (Business Valuation, 2020 and 2021; Contractual Disputes, 2022), and appears on Forbes' inaugural list of America's Top CPAs for Valuations.
