Rory Hynes

Rory Hynes is a venture-capital investor associated with Enterprise Equity Venture Capital, one of Ireland’s long-established early-stage venture firms. Public sources place him at Enterprise Equity’s Galway office as early as January 2003, when Enterprise Equity chief executive Conor O’Connor referred to working with Hynes on seed-capital transactions.

By 2005, Hynes was described as an investment executive with Enterprise Equity. In that role he joined the board of Celtrak after Enterprise Equity led a €1.2 million investment round in the Galway vehicle-tracking technology company, investing €600,000 as part of the round.

From at least 2013 through 2015, public investment announcements described Hynes as a partner at Enterprise Equity and as part of the team co-managing the AIB Seed Capital Fund. During that period he was quoted on several medtech and healthtech investments, including Cambus Medical, Syncrophi Systems, X-Bolt Orthopaedics, and Capsos Medical.

His LinkedIn profile lists Enterprise Equity Venture Capital in Galway, Ireland, and gives his education as UCD and the Institute of Public Administration from 1967 to 1970. It also notes that he served as President of Irish Squash from 1992 to 1994.
