Sara Craven

Sara Craven is the Chief Wealth Manager and a shareholder at Sand Hill Global Advisors, an independent, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor founded in 1982 and headquartered in Palo Alto, California. As of its March 2025 Form ADV filing, the firm reported roughly $3.8 billion in discretionary assets under management across about 548 client relationships, serving high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and institutions on a fiduciary basis. Craven joined the firm in 2003 and has more than 20 years of wealth-management experience.

Before Sand Hill, Craven was a Portfolio Manager and Head Trader at Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, and earlier worked as an International & Emerging Market Bond Associate at T. Rowe Price & Associates in Baltimore, Maryland. She was promoted to Chief Wealth Manager in January 2017 (from Senior Wealth Manager / Senior Portfolio Manager), taking responsibility for leading the wealth-management team and overseeing the firm's overall client-service experience. Craven holds a BA in Economics from the University of Delaware and an MA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and holds a Series 65 securities license. Her practice focuses on helping Silicon Valley families navigate stock-compensation diversification, financial organization, and tax planning. Beyond her professional work, she has served on the boards of the Alzheimer's Association and Mission Hospice & Home Care.
