Sari Pohjonen

Sari Pohjonen (born 1966) is a Finnish finance executive with a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the Helsinki School of Economics. She built her career as a chief financial officer across several listed and consumer-brand companies. She began in senior finance roles at SanomaWSOY Corporation from 2001 to 2008, including Vice President, Finance and Group Control.

She joined the Fiskars organization in 2008, serving as CFO of Fiskars Home / Iittala (2008–2012) and then Vice President, Finance for the EMEA sales region (2012–2013). After a period as CFO (2013–2016) and Deputy CEO (2015–2016) of Reima Group, she returned to Fiskars in 2016 and was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer in February 2017, later also serving as Deputy to the CEO. When Fiskars Group President and CEO Jaana Tuominen stepped down, Pohjonen was appointed interim CEO before Nathalie Ahlström took the permanent role. She left Fiskars in 2021 and served as CFO of Oriola Corporation from September 2021 to 2022.

Since leaving executive life, Pohjonen has become a full-time professional board director. She is Chair of the Board of Lindex Group plc (formerly Stockmann, since 2023), a member of the Board and Chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee at Kalmar (since 2024), and has taken board roles at Paulig Ltd and OP Cooperative (2025–2026). She also serves as a board member of the Jane and Aatos Erkko Foundation and has held positions connected to VR-Group and Aktia Bank. Her professional identity is that of a governance and financial-oversight specialist for large Finnish corporates, not a venture or angel investor.
