Background
Scott D. Fesler is a Managing Director of Eagle Private Capital and a General Partner of Eagle Funds II, III, III-A, IV, and IV-A. A native of St. Louis, he holds an undergraduate business degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Fesler began his career in 1991 at Southwest Bank of St. Louis, where he was a Vice President focused on commercial and industrial lending and commercial real estate, eventually supervising a loan portfolio of roughly $75 million. In 1998 he co-founded and served as President of Mississippi Valley Capital Company, the general partner of Eagle Fund I, LP. From 1999 through 2002 he was principally responsible for the day-to-day operations of Eagle Fund I, including sourcing, structuring, and monitoring its investments, a role he held into 2003.
Today he is one of the leaders of Eagle Private Capital, the fund manager of the "Eagle family of funds," which provides growth and change-of-control capital to middle-market businesses. The firm manages over $1 billion and has completed 155 platform investments with 87 exits to date. Eagle Fund III, LP was named the U.S. Small Business Administration's 2019 Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) of the Year, underscoring the firm's standing as a licensed SBIC investor based in St. Louis.
