Sebastian Junoy

Sebastian Junoy is a co-founder and one of the Managing Partners of Headway Capital Partners, a London- and Massachusetts-based private equity firm he helped establish in 2004. Headway is one of the few institutional capital providers dedicated to financing independent sponsors and PE managers on a deal-by-deal basis. Over its 20-plus-year history the firm has completed more than 140 transactions in partnership with over 100 independent sponsors and private equity managers, and is currently deploying its fifth fund, HIP V.

Before founding Headway, Junoy was part of the investment team at Coller Capital, a leading private equity secondaries firm, where he sourced, evaluated and closed PE secondary investments. Earlier he worked in cross-border mergers and acquisitions at J.P. Morgan in New York, and began his career as a direct investment professional at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private-sector arm of the World Bank Group.

Junoy holds an MBA and a BS with honours in Economics from The Wharton School, along with a Master of Arts in International Studies — all from the University of Pennsylvania. He is of Spanish-French nationality and is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, with proficiency in Italian.
