Shengwei Da

Sean Da is a semiconductor engineer turned consumer-hardware and AI entrepreneur. He earned a BSEE from Tsinghua University (1990–1995) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis (1997–2000). He began his career in the U.S. chip industry as a Member of Technical Staff in the High-Speed Data Converter Group at Maxim Integrated Products (2000–2002), then worked as a Staff Design Engineer in the Power Management Group at Analog Devices (2002–2005), served as CTO of Rock Semiconductor (2005–2009), and was an Engineering Director at Intersil (2009–2011).

In 2014 he founded YI Technology (Shanghai Xiaoyi Technology Co., Ltd.), which launched as an imaging/action-camera brand within the Xiaomi ecosystem and grew into a maker of AI-powered smart cameras and computer-vision solutions. Da served as Chairman & CEO of YI Technology from April 2014 to January 2021. Under his leadership the company built a portfolio of 150+ patents across computer-vision algorithms, deep learning, edge computing and assisted driving, and spun out Kami Vision (founded 2017) to deliver turnkey edge-AI camera hardware and cloud platforms for security and smart-home applications. Da has been Executive Chairman of Kami Vision since November 2022.

More recently Da became CEO, director and a ~10% owner of AlphaVest Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: ATMV), a blank-check SPAC that IPO'd in December 2022 (~$69M) with a stated focus on businesses in Asia. In December 2025, AlphaVest completed a business combination with AMC Corporation — the parent of the YI/Kami AI-security business — renaming the combined entity AMC Robotics Corporation (Nasdaq: AMCI), where Da now serves as Chairman of the Board and CEO. Entities affiliated with Da beneficially own roughly 77% of the company, making it a Nasdaq "controlled company."

Da is regularly cited in tech and business press as a spokesperson for YI/Kami product launches and AI-vision strategy, and he was profiled by Insights Success as CEO and Founder of YI Technology.
