Sunil Motaparti

Sunil Prasad Motaparti (b. August 2, 1981) was a serial technology entrepreneur and investor from Hyderabad, India. He was the son of industrialist M.S.R.V. Prasad, associated with the Prasad Aditya Group of companies. He earned both a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, and began his career in Silicon Valley working with electronic design automation (EDA) groups — including product-side roles connected to IBM, Intel, and Magma Design Automation.

He is best known as a founding leader of KeyPoint Technologies, where he drove product and business development. Under his stewardship the company built and launched Adaptxt, a pioneering multilingual predictive-text keyboard, and later Xploree, an AI-powered smart keyboard platform. His work centered on language technology, computational linguistics, on-device intelligence, and user privacy, and KeyPoint partnered with major OEMs including LG, Pioneer, and Reliance.

In 2012 he founded Bitkemy Ventures, a Hyderabad-based seed-stage venture capital fund and technology venture builder that backs early-stage Indian technology startups aiming to reinvent how traditional industries operate. Alongside Bitkemy, aggregator records list him in co-founder/director roles at several ventures including Kagami ERP (from ~2014), Cafyne, Altiux Innovations, and 3LOQ Labs — reflecting an active "venture builder" style of operating and investing rather than a passive check-writer.

Colleagues remembered him for a "Never Say No" attitude and for leading "from the front." His career and life were cut short by his death in January 2019.
