Susan Wilkinson

Susan K. Wilkinson is a Nebraska native who earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Early in her career she worked in public accounting at Deloitte before joining Ameritas in 1995 as a corporate (cost) accountant. She is a member of the Nebraska Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Over nearly three decades at Ameritas, Wilkinson rose through a series of senior finance and strategy roles, including chief planning officer and chief risk officer. In 2018 she was elected Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, the role reflected in the stub data. She held the CFO/Treasurer position until the end of 2023.

Effective January 2, 2024, Wilkinson was elected President and Chief Operating Officer of Ameritas Mutual Holding Company, and Michele Wu succeeded her as CFO. In her current role she helps lead a diversified insurance and financial services organization offering life insurance, annuities, dental and vision benefits, retirement plans, and investment products.

Beyond Ameritas, Wilkinson serves on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's Omaha Branch, and on the boards of the Catholic Foundation of Southern Nebraska and the University of Nebraska Foundation.
