Background
Thomas Picquette (born December 1986, from the Lille area) is a French private-equity and M&A professional with more than twelve years of experience in investment funds and merger-and-acquisition advisory. He is a graduate of EDHEC Business School (the École des Hautes Études Commerciales du Nord). He began his career in M&A advisory at Clearwater International before moving into direct investing.
In March 2015 he joined the Mid-Caps team of Naxicap Partners — the private-equity arm historically tied to Natixis (BPCE group) — as a Senior Associate (chargé d'affaires senior), later rising to Associate Director. At Naxicap he worked on and monitored a portfolio of mid-market deals, and public filings and market databases associate him with holdings and board seats across companies such as Stelliant, Sushi Shop, Hello Syndic, Monsenior and O2Feel, with adjacent involvement noted around names like OWI Technologies, Elitech Group and Eudonet.
From 2022 to 2025 Picquette led Klea Holding (the successor entity to Visiomed Group), where he drove a strategic and geographic redeployment and a financial turnaround; he remains listed as Secretary of Klea Holding and has held a directorship connected to Smart Salem Medical Center LLC (a Klea/Visiomed healthcare venture in the Gulf).
Most recently, on 26 February 2026, the Board of Directors of Hopium — the Lyon-region (Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure) hydrogen-mobility company — appointed him Chief Executive Officer (Directeur Général), alongside Pascal Ghoson as Board President, as part of a governance overhaul that secured a €2.3 million financing tranche.
Investment Thesis & Focus
- Operates as a mid-market private-equity investor, not an angel/seed backer — the focus is control-oriented buyout, LBO and growth-capital deals in established, cash-generative companies.
- Sector orientation aligned with Naxicap's core verticals: healthcare, technology/IT services, consumer, business services, food & agriculture, and real estate services.
- Geographic focus on France and Europe, backing SMEs and mid-caps that need capital plus operational/strategic support to scale, consolidate, or reposition.
- Brings a strong M&A and turnaround lens (Clearwater International advisory roots; the Klea Holding turnaround), suggesting he says "yes" to businesses where value can be created through repositioning, buy-and-build, or financial restructuring rather than early-stage bets.
Notable Investments
- Stelliant — French insurance-claims / loss-adjustment services group; a Naxicap portfolio deal he was involved with.
- Sushi Shop — French premium sushi delivery/retail chain; Naxicap-associated holding.
- O2Feel — French electric-bicycle manufacturer; growth-stage portfolio company.
- Hello Syndic — French proptech / property-management (syndic) company.
- Monsenior — senior-care / services company in the Naxicap portfolio.
- Eudonet, Elitech Group, OWI Technologies — additional Naxicap-linked names associated with him in market databases (software/CRM, in-vitro diagnostics, and AI/text-analytics respectively).
- Klea Holding (ex-Visiomed Group) — led the company 2022–2025 through strategic redeployment and financial turnaround (operational leadership rather than a fund investment).
