Background

Todd J. Cusolle is a software entrepreneur and investor best known as the co-founder of KORE Software, a sports and entertainment business-management software company. KORE was founded in 2002 by Todd Cusolle and Matthew Sebal, originally as KORE Interactive, a consulting firm building custom business software for enterprise customers. The company later focused on the sports, media, and entertainment market after identifying an underserved need for specialized CRM, sponsorship, ticketing, suites, and data-warehouse tools.

Cusolle served as CEO of KORE Software until 2019. In May 2019, KORE appointed Jason Fletcher as CEO; KORE described Cusolle as the outgoing CEO and said he would remain involved through the company’s board of directors. KORE later became part of Two Circles: Two Circles announced an agreement to acquire KORE on October 16, 2024, and Canadian Lawyer reported the transaction closed on October 31, 2024.

In 2016, KORE created KORE Software Capital LLC, an affiliated venture-capital entity. Cusolle was identified as President and Co-Founder of both KORE Software and KORE Software Capital in the 2017 announcement of the fund’s first investment, Fevo. MarketScreener lists him as Founder and President of KORE Software Capital LLC and reports that he received an undergraduate degree from Carleton University. It also lists prior roles as Director and Chief Technology Officer at Notis Global, Inc.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • KORE Software Capital was created to back companies strategically relevant to KORE’s sports and entertainment ecosystem, with investments “of up to $1 million each.”
  • Cusolle stated the fund’s target directly: “We’re aiming for tech companies, emerging league team ownership positions, such as eSports, and other innovative companies within sports and entertainment.”
  • The clearest fit is software or technology that improves how fans, sponsors, teams, venues, leagues, or ticketing partners engage, monetize, and manage relationships.
  • Strategic alignment matters: in Fevo’s case, Cusolle emphasized the company’s group-event technology, its “smart approach,” and alignment with KORE’s values and sports/entertainment interests.
  • MarketScreener characterizes KORE Software Capital as investing in U.S. software-technology companies and providing financing for early-stage capital requirements.

Notable Investments

  • Fevo — Group ticketing and social-commerce platform for live events. KORE Software Capital made its first investment in Fevo in February 2017; the amount was undisclosed, and KORE described the company as transforming group event attendance.
