Trisa Summers

Trisa Summers has spent roughly 25 years in financial services. She entered the industry shortly after the birth of her first daughter, joining a financial advisor and family friend, and over the following two decades worked her way through nearly every role within a wealth management firm — ultimately serving as Chief Executive Officer. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation and a B.S. in Personal Financial Planning from an Arizona university.

Her best-known chapter is at TCI Wealth Advisors, Inc., an employee-owned RIA with offices across the Southwest. Having previously worked with advisor Douglas L. Nelson in Reno, Nevada, Summers joined TCI in the summer of 2008 to help open its Scottsdale, Arizona location — beginning, as the firm recounts, "with just the two of us in a small executive suite, with no brand recognition and no clients." She became a partner/shareholder in the combined firm and rose to lead it as CEO/President.

In 2016 she stepped away from the CEO role to focus on raising her two teenage daughters. She stayed connected to the profession through consulting work with Five Oceans Advisors and has since formally joined that firm as President and Partner.
