Tyler Morris

Tyler Robert Morris is the finance and accounting principal at Aenigma Capital, a Santa Monica–based crypto investment fund, where he has served since March 2018. According to his FINRA BrokerCheck record (CRD# 6948989), Morris began his career in public accounting as an Assurance Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Miami, Florida, from September 2016 to March 2018, before he was based in Gainesville, Florida (2015–2016) — consistent with an early-career accountant transitioning out of school into the Big Four. He moved directly from PwC into the crypto-fund world during the 2017–2018 ICO boom.

At Aenigma, Morris leads the fund's financial and accounting function — described in regulatory filings as fund administration and bookkeeping — which in practice maps to the Chief Financial Officer role. To support the fund's brokerage activity, he became a registered representative through the affiliated broker-dealer Aenigma Advisors LLC (CRD# 162802, Miami, FL) from June 2018 to July 2019. During 2018 he passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, the Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and the Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) exam. Alongside Aenigma, Morris has served since March 2018 as Controller of Token Magic LLC, a Las Vegas–based entity that was being restructured from a marketing/PR firm into a technology-development company. His role across both entities is the financial-operations and accounting backbone rather than a deal-sourcing investment partner.

Aenigma Capital itself was founded around 2017 by Juan Bruce (Managing Partner; Stanford-educated engineer and serial founder who previously co-founded the live-event app Pogoseat and the media-tech startup Epoxy, and ran Robert Downey Jr.'s venture fund), with partners including token economist David Grider and Evan Owens. The firm pitches itself as "a blockchain, decentralized tech and digital asset fund that combines venture capital and hedge fund investing approaches," blending pre-ICO/early-stage investments with active management of later-stage publicly traded tokens. Morris is the financial-operations counterpart to these investment-side partners.
