Varsha Tagare

Varsha Tagare is a Senior Director at Qualcomm Ventures. Her Qualcomm Ventures bio says her current investment areas include Enterprise and Mobility, and lists active portfolio companies including Ethernovia, HDVI, Lookout, Mindtickle, Sibros, Zinier and Zuddl.

She has been with Qualcomm Ventures since 2013. Global Venturing reported that she joined Qualcomm Ventures in February 2013 after five years at Intel Capital in India, and that she later became head of Qualcomm Ventures India. Qualcomm Ventures’ own bio says she previously managed a $150M fund dedicated to India and cross-border Digital Enterprise investments, with IPO outcomes including MapMyIndia in 2021 and ideaForge in 2023.

Before Qualcomm Ventures, Tagare was an investment director at Intel Capital, responsible for global equity investments in mobile technology. Earlier at Intel, she worked across chip design, technical marketing and business development, including chip design work on Pentium II. She holds an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from VJTI, University of Bombay, and Qualcomm Ventures says she holds two US patents in microprocessor design.

Tagare has also been recognized by Global Corporate Venturing as a Rising Star in 2019 and is a board member of Qualcomm’s Women Organization. Her LinkedIn profile lists her location as Santa Clara, California.
