Veronica Allende Serra

Veronica Allende Serra is the Founding Partner of Innova Capital, a São Paulo–based investment firm she established in 2009–2010 to deploy the proprietary capital of leading global family offices (including families associated with Jorge Paulo Lemann and Marcel Telles) into high-growth technology businesses. Before Innova, she founded Pacific Investimentos in 2001, partnering with global private-equity funds to invest in Brazil. She has roughly two decades of private and growth-equity investing experience across the US and Latin America. Earlier in her career she headed Latin America investments for IRR LLC (1998–2001), served as assistant to the CEO of Leucadia National Corporation, and worked at Goldman Sachs in New York, as well as at Banco Itaú BBA in São Paulo.

She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (1997), which she attended on a full scholarship through the Organization of American States and Fundação Estudar. She also earned a law degree from the University of São Paulo (USP) and studied Art and Advertising at the Escola Panamericana de Arte. Born in Chile and raised in the US and Brazil, she is the daughter of Brazilian politician and former São Paulo governor José Serra — a family connection frequently noted in Brazilian press coverage of her business dealings.

Beyond Innova, Serra has been a lead independent director of Mercado Libre (NASDAQ: MELI) since 2007, where she was also an early investor. She is closely tied to the Endeavor entrepreneurship network — a director of Endeavor and named Mentor of the Year at Endeavor Brazil's 2022 gala, and a keynote speaker at Endeavor Uruguay's 2024 gala. She has appeared on Latin America's top female tech-investor lists since 2018, was named one of Latin Trade Magazine's top 25 businesswomen in LatAm (2015), and is a member of the Honorary Board of and frequent speaker at South Summit Brazil.
