Vinay Rao is a Partner at Ventureast, one of India's longest-standing venture capital fund managers (investing since 1997, managing roughly US$325–400 million in AUM across offices in Bengaluru and Hyderabad). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from NIT-K Surathkal (National Institute of Technology Karnataka) and brings more than a decade of experience across technology, entrepreneurship, and venture capital.

He was an early team member at CommonFloor, the real-estate portal backed by Accel, Tiger Global and Google, giving him hands-on startup-scaling experience.
